I finished editing the first video, sorry if it's a bit long. I managed to reduce it from roughly 1:30 hours of raw footage to 20 minutes of highlights, but I know that it's still a lot and not anyone has that time on their hands. This first one is about the churches, cathedrals, or placed associated with religion I visited. https://youtu.be/Pm39eIMheis

By the way I'm practicing my writing, so expect more updates on the miniblog. I'm questioning whether some of the entries I'm developing deserve to be featured on the blog, maybe I'll change some of them later or make a collection.

I want to apologize for the fact that the Europe trip page hasn't been updated but I "accidentally" shot 6 hours of video while on the trip so it's taking me longer than expected to edit together. What type of music do you think would fit the scenic landscapes of the Czech Republic?

Literaturegirl, there used to be some articles regarding religious or spiritual topics on your site. I remember they even had their own section. Could I ask why you decided to delete or hide them?

Whilst studying my degree in theology, the thing I feel I have learnt the most about is my need for humility, especially in regards to how I navigate discussing my faith with others. I am still very much a Christian, but I am still learning how best to share that with others in a way that does not end up causing more harm than good. I think it requires a very delicate balance.

As a part of my degree I have also spent a lot of time having discussions with people who have had bad experiences with Christianity, and I'm wary about potentially perpetuating negative stereotypes by not being careful in how I speak. I also developed quite severe chronic health issues about a year ago that have made me have to rethink how I discuss navigating suffering and hardship as a Christian with others.

All of that is to say: I'll likely write about religion again at some point, but I'm still rethinking how I want to approach doing so, as I wish to do so in as wise and thoughtful a manner possible. Whenever I wrote those articles for my site before, I didn't really have that in mind, even if I do still value what I wrote in them.

electrical towers, brutalist buildings, trains, cathedrals, ducks, my first 35mm film camera... it's all included in the europe 2026 trip blog post. you'll have to wait a bit for it, but I promise, it'll be great!
