how do i write a character that is repulsed by piercings & gauged piercings in particular. i grew up with piercings being normal since my dad has several and i never had someone outright tell me 'ur piercings are gross' so ideekkk.....

you can always keep it simple, by showing them staring at someone's piercings but their lips or eyes are slightly twitching or the corner of their mouth is cranking up in a slight snarl. if you want it to be obvious, you can have them asking "why did you even get that" or like "did you not consider its permanent. what if you regret it?" type shit. they might preach about unreasonable things regarding the piercing
most people wont outwardly say they hate the piercing. unless..theyre that type of character... have you heard of kyoto speak? most would react with fake "care" when in reality theyre hinting that the person should've regretted said piercing
