The Jazz Jackrabbit 1 fan shrine is up on the Mystery Mansion section! Make sure you have JavaScript enabled and are using a browser that allows auto-playing music. I've tested this in Pale Moon, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chromium and only had issues with the last one. Happy Easter!!

"I've tested this in [...] Internet Explorer" -- nice. I can also confirm that the music auto-plays in the One True Browser.

Let us never forget the noble deeds of the Easter Bunny, who sacrificed Her own chocolate egg so that we could eat.

Don't mind me, just letting off steam from both a bad foot injury and all of the CSS issues I'm running into while working on the Jazz Jackrabbit shrine page.

Added a note to the UFO section and changed two of the sidebar buttons to mark the arrival of Autism Acceptance Month. New page on the UFO should be up tomorrow!

Added a custom RSS feed to the Portal as an alternative to the rather uninformative default one that Neocities provides. That is all

Wow that's clever. I've never got into using RSS feeds, but you've spiked my curiousity!

@bmh I know I'm late in responding, but there's a good guide here on Neocities on how to set up an RSS feed: https://rssguide.neocities.org/ There's also a validator that you can use to test your feed to make sure that it's all correct: https://validator.w3.org/feed/

The new Babel article is the main event. Some minor other updates, and plans for new content for the coming month are detailed on the Scratching Post/Portal. The Dragon Ball page is the face of the update because I forgot to upload it before the Babel rant.

My statement on the website reaching the vaunted milestone of 10,000 viewers.

Congratulations! (I had no idea one needs 10,000 views for the tags to work. I wonder what the logic behind that is.)

Thank you so much, @nenko! I'm guessing the 10,000 views thing is meant so that casual searchers only see the most popular websites. I never liked the concept personally, and it's weird that it doesn't say that anywhere. I mentioned it in my Welcome to Neocities article along with other nuances but it should really be officially stated somewhere (unless it is and I failed to find it.)

I have <10k views but I've showed up on the searches since I've started--I accidentally run into myself alot when sorting by last updated lol

@holeinmyheart, I feel like the phenomenon mainly occurs when clicking on tags in someone's profile, resulting in a search being made for other websites that fit those tags. I can't find your website via merely clicking on any of your three current tags and looking through the results so this appears to be accurate, from my end at least...

I don't know if it's the same for everyone but sometimes I end up forgetting that I'm wearing a mask until I start thinking "hell, it's becoming increasingly harder to breathe. Time to take this off."

I've seen some fellow cyclists, and walkers in the middle of nowhere wearing masks. I also see a fair number of motorists who fail to turn off their turn signal after passing me on my bike, I find it quite amusing.

@cheru That makes a lot more sense. Thank you for shedding some light on this behaviour. @bmh It always befuddles me when people forget to turn it off. Cars specifically make a repeating sound when you have a turn signal on, and eventually start doing the warning beep if you don't turn it off for long enough!

Your thoughts in the fifth item remind me of my observations while in China of how the people there drove, which, due to the looser and more chaotic traffic environment, made them far more attentive to everything. I feel that U.S. traffic regulations are too minute and comprehensive, and consequently U.S. drivers have become like inattentive robots who don't think when they drive.

Thank you for your insight, @lolwut. That does make a lot of sense. There is definitely too much focus on following minute rules while driving in this country, and I can see how that would at least contribute to the problem. I think I even read somewhere years ago that it was proven that the excess amount of road signs actually made people in America drive worse.
