i want to password protect a directory on my site and according to The Internet i need to use an .htaccess file but when i created it it doesn't show up with the rest of my files.. maybe its a supporter only feature? hhgh

password protection uses stuff like php, which neocities doesn't support. there's lots of javascript password protections stuff though. just google "js password protect github". :)
