That bit about Netflix in your Law Abiding Citizen review is interesting, I always assumed the oldest films on netflix were a few things from the 70s.

there might be even older stuff if I do some more digging...I remember years and years ago watching a handful of World War II era short propaganda films on Netflix, and they also used to have Melies' 1902 Trip To The Moon film

this kinda makes me want to rewatch the ring two out of curiosity cuz it's been soo long and i don't remember much about it other than i used to be terrified of it as a child lol, it's kinda funny to me that maybe it was just really bad
it's not THAT bad, just nothing special, very run of the mill ghost stuff (which is not generally my cup of tea to begin with). the original Ring 2 movie (also Nakata) looks very different from skimming over the Wikipedia plot, perhaps I'll check that out in the next few days.
