After going through the comfiest flu I've ever had (just a few days of taking more naps than Joe Biden), I have added a detailed write-up on my reasons for leaving Neocities and migrating towards self-hosting to the Library of Babel. The decision was very out-of-nowhere and I did not want to speak about it formally before I had a chance to gather my thoughts.

About how you're shadowbanned on Neocities, I think it's just a case of two or more people clicking on "Block site" on your profile. I don't think Neocities itself is to blame, it's just a few individuals who don't want to see your site on their feeds in any capacity.

At least that's what I think has happened to you.

I would like to think that, but the exact same phenomenon has occurred to two other users I know. Furthermore, it happens to me even on an alternate account of my friends who has not blocked me or anyone else on it.

Your criticisms of this platform manage to be accurate without being undeservedly harsh: the overall mission of Neocities is, in fact, a noble one, though it is tarnished somewhat by its practice of shadowbanning, technical limitations, and the not insignificant number of NORP Tumblr SJWs who have no grasp of old Web values and who possess nothing more than a superficial attraction to the aesthetics of the era.

However, to be fair to Neocities, the userbase is actually quite diverse, with individuals from many different backgrounds and viewpoints represented; and the shadowbanning only affects the social media aspect of the platform, which, at the end of the day, is a feature supplementary to the actual Web hosting, which (fortunately) is not subject to such a practice.

Neocities is still a good choice for free, casual Web hosting, as well as for beginners who are still learning, but for the more serious site owners it is merely a stepping stone, and in time they will almost certainly outgrow it. You've obviously reached this stage, and with this being the final update to your Neocities mirror, this platform will have to deal with the loss of both a quality site and a fine member.

(Also, my only issue with this article is your insulting of the Incel Perspective fellow: while I don't agree with all of his views, he is still a fellow 4channer who writes interesting things on occasion.)

Occasionally I come across people who have seemingly blocked me; this only becomes apparent when I try and comment on their Feed and it fails to post. I try again and again it vanishes into the ether. It is disappointing, but what can I do but shrug, go "m'eh" and move on?

@lolwut I am just sick of these mentally ill SJW loons imposing their worldviews on everyone, silencing people, and using our old Web culture as a fashion statement while they trample on our dearest values. Also, simply because someone is a 4channer, doesn't mean I have to abide their stupidity. You know me well enough to know that I am well willing to call anyone out if they deserve it.
