Re: other "exclusive" FIR stuff that needs to be reported on -- supposedly, 2 unreleased songs "shipped" with the unhappy meal boxes, which have now arrived. I assume one of them is identical to the monthly Patreon song, but I can't find the other. If you have it, or know how to find it, please let me know!
I promise that I will do the OC updates I've been promising for months in October. That's gonna be my Art-tober theme. But look, hyperfixations don't go away and to maintain my sanity, I've pivoted the fixation to destroying everything Mr. Radke holds dear so...(well, just him. What he holds dear is Max and Taco Bell, and I like those.)
hi i saw this in recent activity and your writings on falling in reverse were really interesting to me!! so yeah i think it would be interesting to see more of it :-)
Recs for bands that are like FIR but not slime are their own page. Also, I wrote a brief history of my music taste in texts with my mom and thought it was interesting enough to post. I promise I'll do more OC stuff in October. Planning to make myself an Inktober-type thing to get some freaking pages up.
Anyway, I Prevail good. They're kind of genre-standard on Heart V. Mind and Lifelines, but really come into their own with Trauma and True Power, and hit the nail on the head in terms of "the vibes Popular Monster (2019) and Watch The World Burn wished they had".
even if only some of them are genres I'm into / bands I'm comfortable assessing in 2024, over 100 tracks for a dollar is an incredible deal. were I sapient and into edgy music in 2004 and one of these came with every issue of the magazine, I'd definitely subscribe.
