i am backkkkk and with a new handle. it's been a while, but it's time to dust off this react site and remember how the fuck i built it so i can fix it. it is broken as shit. school has me working in java and i've been doing a lot of developing in astro, so react has been super low-priority.
so anyway, how is everyone? i missed you.

been busying helping build an open source irc client. one of these days i'll do something. kinda sorta possibly maybe.

converting my message board backend from using javascript to go resulted in getting back 10% of my total memory on my linux server... incredible. to be fair, my server only has 512 mb of ram, but still. i don't think i'll be writing backend in javascript ever again... unless i get paid to do it.

Did a lot of work today. Implemented markdown and tidied up html output for updates and stories, which is a new section by the way. stories is a returning section that has replaced my blog, because fuck that shit. burning house will be the first story to be told through this website. as for descent, i don't know if that one will return. it needs to be re-written.
