The last time I ever did confession was way back when I was in catholic/sunday school. I only did it once and I honestly didn't think I confessed all of my sins. I probably have a whole list of confessions I'd have to make now that I'm an adult.
@Wizard, What you'll have to do is confess once everything you remember and you'll be forgiven of sins confessed, AND those you forgot to confess. The latter you should confess as you remember them. If one hasn't confessed for a time, it's pertinent they confess as soon as possible, no matter how lame the confession is. And tell the priest how long it's been. If it's been 20 years, he'll help you along
