I agree that the concept of a predisposed nature is reductive & take away personal autonomy; I do disagree with your thoughts that humans aren't animals, though. We very much are animals. I think it's kind of grandiose & somewhat ignorant to view ourselves as outside of other animals
I think this concept that humans are somehow so above other animals that we're something of our very ow is unwarranted & damaging. I think if humans were to see themselves as what we are, animals, we'd show more concern for our fellow animals that inhabit this earth
@vashti sry, i don't think i was clear enough with my stance on humans vs animals. i do agree with you. in the 1st mention i meant it sucks how nature pov sees humans as equal to animals, where the 2nd mention i meant animals should be seen equal to humans. both because nature pov disrespects animals. it wasn't part of the core so i glossed over it too much!
Happy to read your latest entry. It means a lot to recognize how far you've come in spite of not feeling well. I hope things continue to get better for you :-)
Did you get to see the moon last night? I went for a walk last night & it was GIANT! You could really see its craters. & it was very yellow too
unfortunately it stormed hard all night, but i got to see it the night before at least!
happy harvest moon!✩‧₊˚
Oh that's a bummer, but it barely rains where I'm from, so I may have preferred a storm haha. Too bad we couldn't swap places
