If anyone was curious what happens when you follow a ton of people on Neocities: 1) you hit a hard cap where you can't follow more people, 2) you get nerfed on the "most followed" search as if you had 0 followers, 3) the algorithm might be based around how much you and your followers interact with eachother's sites, or your followed:follow ratio. In short, don't follow a ton of people, it won't help your visibility.
