it was hard to come out to my mum too. i spent about a year dropping hints and seeing how she reacted to pro-trans stuff, but i finally just came out. she was shocked for a few days, i could tell she was trying hard to compute this new information, and finally she came round. i hope it turns out ok for you too :)
