good post, would add on that reliance on the system means they can freeze assets for any or no reason, including political protest, complaints against the system, doing or saying anything they don't approve of. we are living in a totalitarian's wet dream.
another point is that they will associate cash/privacy with criminality. if you use cash, what do you have to hide? to the average normie, using a credit card is the most convenient and safe, which is all they care about. in some countries they still mainly use cash because the populace believes in privacy, unfortunately i don't think the average American can comprehend the right to privacy these days.

yep, there seem to be more and more restrictions on cash being added to avoid "criminal activity". I remember seeing some in the EU (who are pushing CBDC iirc) where they were lowering the amount of cash one can spend in a single transaction legally.
