Thanks for the shoutout ^^, and great review, i feel you covered pretty much all of the game's strong and weak points. Looking forward if/when you ever play the others in the series.
Thanks very much! I'm not much of a web designer but I try giving each page their own looks. Been following yours a while and there's some good stuff there too. Dig the Sega pages.
I'm so happy to hear that! I love that someone might be able to enjoy the original story right on their first playthrough now, really makes all my work worth it. (i do need to pick up on bringing the rest of my guide book translation over there though lol, there's a bunch of stuff missing)
I'll probably make a blog post at some point detailing my exploration of SNKs library and my thoughts on each game (I don't think I'm fighting game savvy enough to do full reviews of these games that are suitably in depth). Main thing I've learnt is that I LOVE king of fighters especially
It's a very footsie based fighter, unlike Kof you won't be getting in your opponents face but wait for them to make a mistake and punish. If you look up matches you will commonly see people just sitting and waiting for an opening. A wayyyyy more defensive game compared to the rest of the SNK fighters. Unless you plan to play ALL of them(I'm guessing u are), I recommend 2019 or V Special.
This is a cool guide for 2019 but the basics apply to most samsho games: https://t.ly/hyQV5
@the-game-hoard I have been trying to play through everything like you guessed (mainly for full story context). I kind of feel like I'm cheesing the AI any time I play slowly and defensively and wait for punish opportunities. Is it normal for most fights to end in a time out, or does that mean I'm not being active enough? I also swear the CPU does more damage than me and I'm not sure why other than the pow metre
