I've just created a site there and entered their discord chat, it doesn't serve php files even if the user paid $1 or even $3

EH. I PROBABLY WON'T BE MOVING UNLESS SOMETHING GOES ABHORRENTLY WRONG, AND HAVING A PAGE REDIRECT THERE IS JUST A WEE REDUNANT TO ME. :P NEOCITIES MY NO. 1

genuine question, why do so many people use(d) discord and other external hosting for images? i've just been uploading all my pics to neocities and using them there..? is that like not as efficent or something? -ame

I THINK IT'S JUST WHAT MOST PEOPLE ARE USED TO, IN ALL HONESTY. AND IT'S CONVENIENT. I USED DISCORD FOR GIF OF THE WEEK AND SONG OF THE MONTH/ALBUM OF THE MONTH JUST FOR CONVENIENCE PURELY

@confettiguts oooh okay i see that makes sense, i used to use discord for file hosting for rentry before i moved on from that. and i know right?!?!? i honestly thought it already happened too because i just. dont use disc for that -ame

In the old days, there wasn't enough space (was only 10mb) and bandwidth.. so they wanted to save them, I myself didn't bother uploading them to neocities.

@moheb-rofail that makes more sense too, i didnt start using neocities actively until 2022 even tho ive been around on here since 2014. back then my dad uploaded all my files to neocities for me but there wasnt a lot ever there so XD -ame

i use catbox.moe to host images and files, like music, but sometimes i do upload them to neocities when i bother to do so lolol
