I really should start just programming this fully in Libre Office instead of just the text and then manually building the code around it in the Neocities code editor

agitation for the 24 hour work week is going strong with great success. people are fully on board for the model (4 days of 6 hours) with proportional wage increase so that the wages are still higher than they were even before the hours were lowered - more pay, less hours!

this does definitely need to be spread more, i might make a page for it; ive mainly been agitating for this in person within the union while teaching communism but this needs to spread widely enough to place legal pressure to redefine this model as full-time

reminder for the americans that labour day is called may day or international workers' day in the rest of the world and generally takes place on may 1. this holiday was deliberately altered in the us (the historical claim is time of ratification, but people had been autonomously celebrating it on may 1 prior to then) as it celebrates when socialists fought for the 8-hour work day under the mantra:

"8 hours work, 8 hours rest, 8 hours sleep." While it can be acknowledged in the modern day that 8 hours is still way too long, in the historical context (as explained by Karl Marx in Capital, Volume 1, Chapter 10) they'd been working 12 h/d, 6 d/w, plus 10h on sunday, and the 10 Hours Resolution had failed due to the bourgeoisie finding loopholes in the law despite multiple revisions

also why did my site explobe today i got 77 unique visits. normally i get like 10
premature heads-up im considering decentralizing my site a bit more; ill prolly start working on a sitemap thing on some note paper to make sure it's at least still reasonably navigable

also i have an idea for the landing page but given my art is currently restricted to either drawing with my finger or using a logitech mouse i don't know if i have the ability to make it as intended. ill figure something out prolly
