I think it's important, as a developer of anything, to be happy with the license associated with things you're selling. You might just do a TLDR; bit at the beginning of your license that goes over the broad important things people should know. I know obviously this is the point of a license, but I don't think you should challenge your own expectations with a creative work.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts saltedslug. I appreciate it!
It would be good to know if the length of my MAMIL license is potentially a barrier to anyone deciding to get the items I have posted on my creative catalog(s). It is really unclear how much of the traffic I get is meaningful and how much of the outcomes are due to cost vs text length vs any number of other factors. I really need to somehow get a coherent understanding of what actually works. It's survival for me.
I'm not sure what path forward to take, is what I'm saying, considering the last several years I've gotten very little to no reliable apparent path forward that is actually viable, both outside my website efforts and inside. Perhaps I will try some cost reductions next to see if that is enough for some viewers to be willing to get my items. I wonder about platform trust's role (e.g. Ko-fi vs Payhip vs big sites) too.
