New piece of writing: Eadweard Muybridge's Early Film. It's about the first ever cat video, among other things.
New piece of writing: Extremities of Space and Time in The Two Towers. This is about the way the the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers uses extreme extents in space and extreme extents in time, and how it contributes to what I see as a preoccupation with stasis and agelessness.
New piece: Confrontations of History and Geography in Mortal Engines. It's about history and politics, examined through the lens of Mortal Engines (a terrible film you should not watch) Minions (a terrible meme you should not post) and Brexit (a terrible idea we shouldn't have voted for).
