i know i have to make the filesize of my images smaller, i have a good program for doing so, but the problem is i am a fool and didnt do that from the beginning and there are sooo many images now. (it would probly help a ton to just shrink the bg images)

i use GIMP for image manipulation. it has a plugin called BIMP which can be used to batch resize images. installing the plugin isn't very straightforward but it is relatively simple to use and may save some time for repetitive resizing if you have some experience with GIMP already.
birme.net is a nice website for resizing a bunch of images all at once :)
