I also definitely want to go back and revisit MDX at some point, it's a shame I didn't get it working this go around but markdown really does make my life substantially easier when writing anything.
Finally done! I ended up using client-side highlight.js for syntax highlighting in the few code blocks in my blog posts, which is really silly. The stack I'm using should have an easier, static option, but I couldn't figure out react-syntax-highlighter/prism.js. Oh well.
Alright so all the technical shit required to port over my blog posts is done, and my last one is on the new site. I'll try to get everything else in later today.
Still struggling to port over my blog posts, and dealing with other nextjs/react nonsense related to that push.
But once I'm done, I also intend to write a post(s?) about more recent happenings like the link hijacking I did and the pixel font sharpening hack I set up on this new site.
