my site looks awful on mobile, its a jumbled mess. maybe i could make a toggle to change the layout?
should check if my website is responsive, is that important? ik some ppl don't have a laptop so

You should! I think i read somewhere that 90% of users are mobile users.

Also making a responsive mage is pretty simple, i use flex boxes and its pretty easy if you read enough
