To each their own of course but this seems unneccesarily mean towards a genuine artist lots of people, including myself, enjoy. It's immature to tell people who enjoy his music that they don't understand music. As if there are rules to good music. Some of Sufjan's work is definitely too out there for me but I think there are few artists able to be so sincere and vulnerable in their work as he is.
