thanks! if its ok to ask, what kind of boats do you work on? also i've never met anyone into the opera before- very neat interest! not giving much thought to it until now, i've never considered how the emotions conveyed through opera resonated with folks. anyhow, cheers and safe travels o7

of course it is, I was just getting trained up on an OSV before our ass-backwards government canceled the wind farm they were constructing (90% completed btw). So they canned me. I *should* get on a bulk carrier this month. So, I'm totally green. I'm no sailor, yet. Yes, liking the opera has come as a shock especially to myself. It's just so rich. Thanks for the comment <3

wishing you all the best! it can be very intimidating to join a vessel for the first time- especially hopping onto bulkers. that sucks about your cancelled OSV work but thankfully there is all sorts of different opportunities in the field if one ship doesnt suit your tastes or work out initially. i'll be interested to hear your experiences if you choose to post about them ^^

It's a gorgeous little thing! The only vessels I'm on are little tugboats, but soon I should be on a bulk carrier in the Lakes.

Wow. Thats super cool! Bulk carriers are a bit scary to me as I am always surrounded by those containers. We went by some of the equipment that picks up containers while I was on the tall ship. Its very fascinating!
ty for the reminder that la bohème is fcking awesome
