Recently I've been taking tokyotelecom pretty seriously, and I couldn't figure out why. It was just supposed to be a fun little project, after all. Yet oft i'd lay awake at night thinking of what to do with this thing. after consulting some friends, like cubertown and synod, i realized that i had interwoven my personal beliefs into the fabric of tokyotelecom too powerfully. it had become me, and that's why i took it

seriously. it WAS me. niko amane, the tokyotelecom man himself, was me, and so i suffered with him. a sad corporate life. we were both slaves to tokyotelecom, him the company and me the site. i guess this isn't too bad, considering all art, including net art should be self expression. but i was trying to put too much of myself on the page. it was futile in the end.

tokyotelecom will always be personal. but it will never be a person. and with that becomes tokyotelecom 2.0. it has been destroyed, and brought back up again. this time, i'll try not to fuck it up like i did prior...
