engineering university has decided that its master students should receive more than twice the work of a regular 9-5, again. To make matters worse, they're bitching about my master thesis proposal because helping the poor isn't good enough for them

I'm not even kidding about the last part. Making a hyperoptimalized software renderer that does not exist yet so that gpu's no longer are a necessity is not good enough for them. They're talking about it as if i intend to compete with GPUs, which i obviously don't. GPUs are cars. I'm making a bicycle. People use bicycles.
