JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR: No, I'm not leaving Neocities! I really like the community and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Updates to the site will still pop up in the Neocities feed; the only thing that changes is that dragonaero.neocities.org is now a redirect to dragonaero.net, which is hosted on Cloudflare.

It took me about a day of work, but I finally ported the DragonAero website to Cloudflare! The most noticeable benefit is that I can use my custom dragonaero.net domain for FREE!!! (no offense to Neocities; you're a wonderful service, but I kinda don't have money 😭)

The Neocities site (dragonaero.neocities.org) will now serve as a redirect to dragonaero.net, and every existing dragonaero.neocities.org page will automatically redirect you to dragonaero.net. Any updates I make to dragonaero.net will still show up on your Neocities feed, but the pages will now redirect to the Cloudflare site at dragonaero.net.

ABOUT MY SITEBUTTON: I also updated the sitebutton to use dragonaero.net instead of dragonaero.neocities.org. You don't need to update my sitebutton if you put it on your site prior to today (Oct. 1st) though; it should still work.

Thanks for all of the support you guys have shown on Neocities. Much love and respect to you all :) Also shoutout to @wtpi for calling me out for sitting on my ass and not updating my website: https://wtpi.neocities.org/100q#:~:text=dragonaero%20finish%20your%20goddamn%20site%20already

@worldwideshen I'm not leaving Neocities. Updates to the site will still appear on the Neocities feed. It's just the internals that moved to Cloudflare

UPDATE UPDATE: All i had to do was disable ProtonVPN and now it works like a charm, even after re-enabling it 😭😭 UPDATE: dragonaero.net is down (dragonaero.neocities.org should still work). This is because I'm trying to connect my custom domain to a Cloudflare Worker but the DNS record CF automatically makes does NOTHING. I'M CRASHING OUT I have the CF nameservers set up on Porkbun already. PLEASE CF I NEED THIS

I am migrating my website to Cloudflare, mostly so that I can take advantage of the dragonaero.net domain (Cloudflare lets you use custom domains for free; Neocities does not). I'll try to see if I can get changes to my site to show on the Neocities feed even after the switch to Cloudflare though :)

You'll be losing 100% of your traffic over the coming years while users get more and more fed up with spyware and monopolistic SaaS providers. I have a bot specifically to bypass cloudflare and scrape any sites they serve me for save locally.

@aznet can you like explain what you are saying. it's not like i'm gonna turn my site into a fake Microsoft login page or smth during the move to Cloudflare
