The ordinariate is interesting as it does model a potential path forward. I am concerned though that it acts as a draw on Catholic minded Anglicans out of the CofE - which makes it harder to move towards an actual reunification.

I believe you are correct on both counts.

I know that in my parish, they rescinded their “resolution” (to do with women priests) probably a decade before I moved here. As a consequence a lot of parishioners moved to the ordinariate. It’s good that they had somewhere to go, but equally their view is simply no longer represented
