What a cool, inspiring project. I think a lot of people are really craving the kind of community that a hyperlocal paper can bring. I'm lucky that my neighborhood has a monthly paper that comes for free in the mail each month. Does your publication focus mainly on news reporting?
i wouldn't say mainly news! i think a lot of what i am personally interested in is news or research based, but my friends mostly contribute culture/life stuff (one friend did one on composting, my bf did one about a mural in the neighborhood), and we focus a lot on suggesting events to attend, local music to listen to, etc as well. but we're still finding our footing too, i think what we put out there will evolve
in which i ponder my problems in starting a neighborhood publication
