Would be kinda cool if you could chooce which updates would show up in feed and which ones wouldn't 😅 I feel embarrassed trying things out and then reverting back to the old code when things don't work out, and then there's just bunch of the same old same old in my profile.

I have a copy of my site saved to one of my local folders. I can edit any of my HTML files in a text editor, then preview in a web browser. Upload to Neocities when they look good. Just an alternate approach.
