oh god i did not see the comment you left a few days ago until just now: yes i have heard jose gonzalez's cover of teardrop! funny that you asked that cause its actually what made me seek out the massive attack version again (heard the cover in an ep of House MD and was like. right this song is Good). its super different from the original but i like it just as much

huge amount of interest and respect for your disgust project, esp as someone whos mental health was also improved by exposure to horror/gore media. are you open to any other media types for your project, or just want to stick to film? theres one author in particular whos works i feel highlight aspects of your project

the author was Dennis Cooper, and more specifically his The Sluts and the George Miles Cycle (i cannot speak to his other works yet). they are more on the side of sexual deviancy as opposed to strictly gore, but it he doesnt shy away from it either.

and awesome! im doing a personal reading challenge that aligns vaguely with your project and cant help to see overlaps (esp since a few of your reccomended movies are adapted from books on my list). i will admit i am holding myself back from just rambling about both our projects, esp since i do not want to intrude, but im very interested in seeing where u take your project in terms of both movies and other media
