oy, standard "debate me now" type brainrot. you MUST allow everyone to dump their bad-faith takes on you at all times. and if you have a CONTROVERSIAL take on something, then you need to be the world's foremost expert and cite every one of your sources like fricken wikipedia.

sorry for losing that thread of comments and all the valuable information on it, I will work on trying to trying to add as much of it as I remember to the site

the comments that I was going to add is that there is zero valid reason to use AI over something tried and true and known to not be as problematic. Something like a website builder or digital lessons to teach people how to code.

The page got archived on Wayback Machine, unfortunately it's the mean comments and not the info we needed... :(

If you are genuinely open to the topic, I will debate the usage of AI and the material on the webpage. If you are a clear troll or someone with so much of a issue with the image at the bottom of the homepage that you feel a need to let me know, I will block you with no questions asked.

Hi everyone! As of typing this, the petition has 69 signatures and 75 days until it closes. What would you all say to changing the petition's close date to June 2nd? It is a date significant because it will be the 1 year anniversary of Kyle making the blog post about AI.

that makes sense to me!

I support it either way!

If the AI features are being actively worked on right now, the petition needs to close before the changes go into effect. Though it's not clear when that will be, setting the date that far out runs the risk of the changes being implemented before the petition closes.

Tina makes a good point. On a second thought, June is half a year away.. maybe 2-3 months more would be enough

What a shameful positon for Neocities to take. There's so many resources to learn to code! I started at 10 or 11 on Neopets, so there is no way that grown adults can not teach themselves to code. There is NO excuse for the use of AI.
