new music. this week i've chosen this haunting and enigmatic khmer cover of 'superstar' that i really love but have a hard time tracing. from what i've been able to gather about ros sereysothea, her life was bright and sadly very brief. she disappeared sometime around 1977. superstar was originally written in 1969 and most famously covered by the carpenters in 1971, so presumably this was recorded around then.
