I think I managed to get smart post loading how I wanted? Now each article is simply the post itself, being loaded into the main content of the site.

first move towards an overhaul, moving posts to individual pages. Then I'd like to move towards a system of calling html into an object for faster loading and reduced duplication. That will also allow for faster changes to the overall style of the site without changing dozens of individual files.
