Thank you for your comment. It would be great, but I don't quite know how to properly and honestly represent myself. I feel like a phony sometimes. It seems impossible to create a concrete representation of my inner world when it's anything but concrete to me. That's not to say I won't try; I think that's why I made this site in the first place.

The way I deal with this kind of anxiety is I make my website about something that I like and not about myself. But in order to get to that point I did make lots of overly personal sites with overly personal posts. I figured out over time what I was comfortable with sharing and what I wasn't. There is a light at the end of the tunnel where you figure out what you're okay with sharing and what you're not.

I used to feel very weird about this for a long time, and it's the reason I got rid of my previous two websites. How I've handled it with this one is by making my website content and articles less focused on me as an individual and more about how I understand and relate to other things I care about and feel are important to share with others, like othala said. I find it helps a lot.

I've found that I don't like making personal blog type posts or having overly extensive 'about' pages, for example. My 'stream' page is supposed to be a kind of middle ground: a way of sharing little things I find value in without making myself feel completely exposed, if that makes sense. It's worth experimenting to find out what works for you and what you value and are comfortable with. Baby steps. :^)

You're right, thanks! I tend to think in circles so it's nice to hear from others. Also, happy birthday! ^_^
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghoti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English-language_spelling_reform Yeah, English is also a pet-peeve of mine. Inconsistent phonetics are confusing, bothersome, and makes learning harder for no real benefit at all. However, it's also too much work/money/time to do some kind of reform. It is what it is, I guess.
I forgot about ghoti, thanks for the reminder (could also have said remainder here, reads the same lol) Also take a look at this shit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Lists_of_common_misspellings/Homophones I have a personal list of word spellings that make no sense. For example wind and rewind - why does the entire word's pronounciation change if we prepend "re" to it? I will share the list when I remember
Previous alterations section in the spelling reform article you sent is very interesting. They fucked up English more while trying to fix it!
Exactly. There's no consensus on what makes language "better". That's why previous attempts were highly controversial, and arguably made things worse.
@alpx maybe you'll like constructed languages like Ithkuil? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ithkuil
@rainight I'm somewhat familiar with conlangs actually. But the thing is; unless there's a significant community that uses the language, and a rich body of literature written in it, it essentially becomes useless. But they sure are interesting as a hobby/project though.
