One of the biggest bookstore chain's website in my country now also lets you filter books by tropes. I don't know how to feel about that. I haven't given much thought to tropes so far, not my cup of tea really. But isn't browsing and buying books based on that extremely reductive of the book?
Spoiler discussion on Genesis by Bernard Beckett finally posted. I tried to write solely on the book and not venture out of it, but can we really see literature outside the context of the world we live in? I was unsucessful...and my first article of sorts was the result, tentatively titled: A Case for Doubting? Check it out: https://lostinimagination.neocities.org/Genesis
Hey, your site is beautifully designed. I read your last blogpost. It was heartfelt, and I have felt similar to what you described, more times than I can count, and sometimes it also helps me to think I am never alone in feeling whatever I am feeling, there is some other person, maybe with a life and life experiences completely different from mine, but struggling with the same feelings. I hope you are feeling better
