i should make a page dedicated to chickens... chicken shrine... my lifelong obsession with them cannot be explained sufficently in words. i would love to help educate people about these beautiful, deeply intelligent, highly misunderstood little birds, and champion their cause online just like i do irl

also i could get into just how fucking crazy the livestock industry is. did you know that 4 companies hold the copyrighted pure line breedstock for pretty much every broiler chicken worldwide. did you know holstien cattle are so inbred they're all genetic descendants of 2 bulls born in the 1960s and still siring calves today. did you know that the cornish cross hen is so hyper-efficent that it breaks its own legs.
