Yeah, Discord changed their policy towards the end of 2023 so now any images hotlinked from Discord are set to automatically expire in a short amount of time (I don't remember the duration, but I think I heard it's only a few hours). I highly recommend FileGarden as a good image hosting service. They allow hotlinking and let you organize your images by folders. I've started using that for my own site's images.
