This week we take a look at The Little Shop of Horrors (1960), a dark comedy that was popularized by it's re-imagined musical remake in 1986.
No review this time, just some site bugfixes. I am working on a special new look for Talkie Crank during October. I have also been wasting my time on another web-based interactive project I'd like done for October. Also been reading (as in analogue books) and working. Will push for a review next week.
Thanks! I reviewed George A. Romero and Daniel Kraus's novel, The Living Dead, a couple of years ago and found out a bit about Night of the Living Dead. Through negligence the copyright for the film was lost and Romero remade it in the 90s because of that. I thought the remake expressed the racial aspects of the story well. I think your site is an interesting idea. I love old movies and movies in general. Well done!
That is so interesting! I should read that book, and will look up your review. Thanks!
New review of "The Lost World" is online! https://talkiecrank.neocities.org/the-lost-world
I used to watch silent films with my sons when they were in primary school. It was great because we could talk about what was happening, and they grew up with a tolerance for black and white and old films. I read The Lost World Years ago. It was also one of the silent films my boys loved. A good choice for your website!
