Nice, what distro? I started with openSUSE back in college but use Manjaro now.
I've decided to go with the bog-standard (is that how you write it?) Mint Cinnamon, just because I tried a few, and this one felt a bit closer to what I liked about windows (I really did not have a problem with windows, I just wanted a change before the end of support for win10)
Here are a couple questions: What got you to start drawing and what are your main sources of inspiration?
For a bit of context, I've been playing a lot of a minecraft modpack called Cuboid Outpost, and uh... yeah, I'm going slightly mad (This is also connected to that one sketch I made a few days ago)
The new piece is so good, I love it! Thankyou for using this idea. "I'm no background artist" pfffft
Recently I've been really into the kind of dystopian style of nature reclaiming technology or urban areas. I was thinking of doing a piece like that myself and I'd love to see your take on it if you chose to :) (something like the start of Portal 2 if you know it)
Aight, I can do both of those! Altough Roy, I'm not exactly a background artist, much less a detailist, but I (think I) can make a decent enough piece; And HydroMecha, definitely don't expect correct anatomy for sharks, I barely had biology classes in my school years :P
ah sorry I should've realised that! Your style is so the other direction to my own so I really admire the work you can do with characters. Perhaps I can do the background to your foreground :)
in all fairness, I have found a good way of doing it, who knows, maybe I'll start doing backgrounds sometimes, especially since Im making this as simple as I can for my own sake :P But yeah mate, dont worry too much, I'll probably finish it by the end of tomorrow
Ok well, I did try and make the shark. Problem, I suck at doing animals, so uh... yaeh, sorry about that, but I dont think I can do it
Found this link that goes over it using Filter Masks: https://krita-artists.org/t/disabling-antialias-on-vector-objects/11395 I also recorded a quick video on getting it set up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Rdcg3EQYNs The text editor in Krita should be getting an overhaul in 5.3 (whenever that releases) but idk if they'll add a way to more easily remove the anti-aliasing.
