thanks for the tip kaa, now I have a more complete unixutils set on windows. Impressive how big the manual page is just for the litte ed line editor.
I had and used vim before on Windows, it's a better compromise for me than ed.
Very understandable. Most of the GNU software manuals are far too lengthy to be practical, unfortunately. Enjoy vim.
