I'll be glad to hear your external criticism to build internal criticism around of.
Thanks! I've been dipping into some of your music on Bandcamp and can see some similarities in tone and sound palettes, though yours seems more proggy and melodic and less beat-led than mine. I'm liking the pad sounds on "Kukuooloo" and "Ringtrotter". I'll have to have a play-around with this Jummbox thing you're using.
I'd be interested to see/hear what you come up with in Jummbox, considering it's more of a piano roll and you use trackers (if I understand correctly).
The pad in Kukukooloo is the sample they used in Silent Hill I believe, and in Ringtrotter it's a midi soundfont synth choir thing, btw the way.
It's better now
Worth listening to for the story. Inconsistent quality, some songs were half skipped in my listen. Some useful ideas here. I disagree with your assessment of the distribution of the quality of the album among its songs: I value some of the first 5 or 6. Density of ideas decreases as i increments. Dufu should have been 3 minutes. Do's got good pieces, drawn out with sections of nothing; it's got a good story,
but its parts are out of proportion.
Budifacu has good bones in the wrong places. You didn't really understand it, but there was something there. Gugicudabo is new and interesting, the ending comes off as conceited. Degacogofegodo is a perfect follow-up. Budubo is the beginning of the end: aimless, fresh out of direction. Bofo dissolves into synths with no place to go. At go, it really is over.
Good first attempt, I'm proud of you.
It's funny after updating this page again after 2 years gives me someone else's thoughts on the album. Thank you for them. It's interesting...
