+ turns out one of the clever tricks aster terror star pulls off resulted in an error when it was installed in an unusual location. I did fix the error to begin with and made the trick work if the ghost happens to be installed in a subfolder of SSP/ghost, but if it's elsewhere entierly it's just defaulting to less meta behavior.
