thanks for the suggestions! @tabf5 i'm currently using commentbox.io which is good but forces users to sign in on an external site, which isnt fun for the enduser. and atabook but thats just my guestbook. @parakibara thank you! unfortunately it looks like its supporter-locked :(

is it bad form to ask if someone has a button. in the same vein are you supposed to tell people when you add their button (or site link) to your site or nah?

I've usually found that people are quite receptive if you can't find their button! Generally people LOVE it when you reach out to them. Don't know about telling people you added their button, though... I haven't seen that too often out in the wild. Totally just my paradigm, though
