The more I work at my website, the more I realise I am making a modern version of my LiveJournal. I'd like to think this is less cringey though lol. I think the scary thing is, is my live Journal still exists out there.

As for the anime world, if you're interested, in one of my older articles ("Nothing Matters, But Fandom Spaces Are Just a Detail") I describe a bit more in detail why I think things are the way they are, and why they are not like they used to be, at least in terms of our online lives.

I actually went through and read a few of your blog posts before I commented. I very much agree with what you pointed out. I spent a lot lf my time on Forums back in the day. I think you made a great point about how people were expected to 'play nice' or be banned from a space. It hadn't occurred to me until I read that, that this is why online toxicity had gotten so out of hand these days.
