Today I finally reached the 1GB limit on free Neocities sites. I was looking into hotlinking my photos from imgur where I have them backed up, but I ended up using a script to convert them all from full-sized jpg files to 1300px (or less) webp files and my total storage usage went from ~1GB to ~1KB. The site also uploads and loads much much faster. Amazing! Look into webp for your images if you haven't yet!
