@lemerks Poor guy :( I always thought you drew that picture? They did pretty good!

lemerks's avatar lemerks 15 hours ago

Oh man i WISH i could draw that well, since lorenzowo really achieved the feeling of goofyness without being cutesy like i hate with big eyed characters, i comissioned him some art since he showed me a frontiers artwork he was working on at the time, mf doesnt miss

Think you got an interesting site, I like how you're adding your own character to the pictures you take. That's a concept I really love and that I want to do more often. I was looking at your blog posts about making your own version of android and visiting abandoned places, I really like websites that talk about the random places they visit

Have a good day and night you all...... wherever you are in the world and on the web, take care. All I'm thankful for about the website is that it's made people happy. I'm not the social person much at all but I'm glad to meet kind people here and there that have similar interests as me and maybe even the same passion as I do. Lots of people & people's websites inspire me. I want this next year to be different -

- I want to break this pattern, I want to get out of comfort and do something new. And I wish the same for everybody else, I'm thinking about again almost that two years ago, this website started as a .GIF of Sonic breakdancing and I knew little to nothing about HTML..... And this is what it is now.... and it's still going

So that is proof right there that you can do it! Anyone out there who wants to make a website, it's your time!

If anyone is scared of coding, just remember that coding html and css is actually pretty simple, and prob one of the most accessible languages for someone to code in :D

I also created this website on Neocities, and then I moved to another host that does not require https and SSL, and comparing my website from a year ago and now, I quickly learned HTML and CSS and the website became more beautiful, if you are looking for inspiration or just browse, I invite you to http://bradprower-retroweb.rf.gd

@bradprower I'm really considering trying out that web host you're on, one of my projects is to get a website that you can visit on old browsers. I considered that with Neocities but they enforce HTTPS here, I was thinking you could make HTTPS optional on your own domain but that wouldn't work anyway. Think it's great that you got a 'site I can visit on Internet Explorer or Netscape

your website is amazing! 2000 vibes

HAHAHAHH that wallpaper is probably going to be on Google search someday and some person decades from now is going to be as confused as I was when I first saw that original wallpaper

Hi! 'div id="something"' or 'div class="something"'? What'dya think is best for putting a label on an element and styling it?

I use 'id' a lot, I'm not sure if it even matters. But I hear about 'class' being used more for styling elements while 'id" is used for Javascripting; getElementById

lemerks's avatar lemerks 2 weeks ago

I think i just use classes and thats it, cuz i saw it on w3schools.

I use id if it's used once and class if it's used more than once

I usually use ids as my "main building blocks" and class as a "modifyer" to an existing element, like if I want larger text to be used as titles for sections I'll make a class for it so when I'm coding in the HTML it's "p class=" if that makes sense

It depends, if theres only one “something”, i’ll use id, otherwise its class

Using id is a bit easier for javascript as i dont need to add [0] at the end if i use class

Interesting stuff.... thanks you all! I do it for the same reason as most of you; multiple elements that're the same and need the same styles

radicalblur's avatar radicalblur 1 week ago

I mostly use 'id' also because I save THREE LETTERS OF DISK SPACE YEAHHHHHHH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! "class" is five letters long compared to 'id' - (me who compresses and optimizes stuff way too much)

I didn't even see the projects page until now because of the other pages still being built, it lead me to your .com 'site. People like you inspire me a lot

I like your site and the art's n' crafts you're making yourself, I think that's talented! Seeing Tails Doll DANCING at a rave party is way too funny I love it

And what's more, the style and look completely nails the one that pops up in the level Final Egg in SA1

radicalblur's avatar radicalblur 2 weeks ago

@sonic2k I can kinda see that, to me it fits the header of the website with their character at Station Square just relaxing and having a good time

Thank you so much for your kind comments! I've been chipping at the website's look a lot this week so I appreciate it! And doing all these crafts keeps me sane so this website is just its own craft project too lol. I'm not planning to stop creating anytime soon :)

@starakex I love the whole thing with colliding art with websites and it's my goal to do it even even more. And your site's another one that inspires me to! Another 'site I like: @wereh0gz who does that too

Your 'site looks great so far! Was actually planning on making a whole page on my 'site somewhere with the same name as yours; "Sonic2K" dedicated to the older Sonic games around early 2000 and earlier. Think it's cool someone had the same idea of that name!
sonic2k's avatar sonic2k 2 weeks ago

Thank you ^.^. I've been using the handle "Sonic2k" since at least June 2000, so it's been 25 years. That's a long time I must say XD. I do plan on adding a section soon, to acommodate all the heaps of SA era gaming content I've made
