btw to size images you can set the width or height in px, rem, or as a percentage, then the other value to auto :)

halfway just to fiddle with the idea of a splash page. if i do wind up keeping it in the final design it will probably resemble this, and may or may not keep the disappearing div (so that the splash is the same page url as the actual site) idk idk idk
