what does it mean to invite the sound of the bell?
We use the sound of the bell to mark different things throughout the day, with a system of different sounds which mean different things. In this class specifically, we learned the rhythm of the activity bell, which is invited about 10 minutes before an activity starts, so that people know to get ready and arrive on time. We say "invite" the bell rather than "hit" or "strike" the bell.
