becoming very good at troubleshooting, site is now viewable in firefox (which also happens to be my browser of choice... lol)
this still feels rudimentary and almost a bit too childish for me. i can't seem to shake the urge to keep my site sterile and uninventive, but i've always said it was a work in progress. changes like this help me learn more about web design :-) sorry for long time no update, i am back

p.s. i'm with you as a chicana from new york!! the neighborhood my immigrant parents raised me in is somehow both unlike all of new york and also THE very definition of our city! i hope that no matter where life takes you you are surrounded by people who uplift you and themselves and keep that love of home close to heart <3
