one metaphor for social media would be "watering dead flowers" -- there is no growth. But sometimes it's worth trusting the process instead of putting pressure on yourself to change, using words like "should" or "need" -- the day will come when you are extremely bored with discord (´・ω・`) good luck

Good metaphor. I have noticed I often use "should" and "need". When I write down brainstorming there is mess of them. It's too uncomfortable to exert performance and it can lead myself exhausted and depressed. Sometimes I will try to accept what I am first.

knowing someone reading the content i produce directly affects the work i do. its same thing as "like" buttons. it sucks. happy birthday! theres still time in front of you in my opinion. only thing that matters is starting to work hard as soon as possible:)

if you'd like, you can hide all likes on neocities with a ublockorigin filter. If you click on settings and then "my filters", you can add the following, each requires a new line: neocities.org##.comment_like neocities.org###like

That very informative thank you. I just get tired of obsessing reactions in instant message app like discord. I found that I need to slow down....

best solution to discord is to delete it, but that's a hard thing to do for a lot and may not even be the best solution

I read your article. Quitting Like addiction is the first step to self-awareness and form true human bondage. Thank you for your information.

Je ne suis pas aussi bon en français qu’en anglais mon ami. Mais j’aime les sons de la prononciation française

Thanks. In addition I'm very puzzled when I'm in train where many people have only attention their small screens. Some plays Pokemon GO and I'm so distracting their finger movement. I needed to close my eyes to get out of that hell :-(

Yes. As you said I tried to read some book to stay away from visual distractions. But when I sit down a seat I cannot cut myself off incoming light of screens especially when they scroll colorful screen like X or other socials or playing Youtube videos. So I should stop trying sit down or close one of my eyes.
